Celebrating its 30th year, this annual Navy-hosted event includes the public in raising money for the Navy's Morale Welfare and Recreation (MWR) programs. MWR provides Quality of Life programs for our 500,000+ active duty and retired military, reservists, their family members and civilian employees who make up our San Diego Military Family. This unique 4-mile run/walk has a one of a kind spectacular panoramic view as participants make their way to Coronado's beautiful Tidelands Park from downtown San Diego over the Coronado Bay Bridge.Register Today!
Please plan ahead and arrive early! Come enjoy a pre-race warm up session and secure your parking spot right next to the start line. Prior to 7 am premier parking is available in the Hilton San Diego Bayfront parking garage for a flat rate fee (TBD). After 7 am, limited parking is available for a flat rate fee (TBD) in the Convention Center parking garage through the 5th Ave and Harbor Drive entrance. Please be aware of special event "No Parking" areas along the streets in and around the Gaslamp and Petco Park. Cars will be towed at owner's expense. MWR is not liable for towed or ticketed vehicles.
For Coronado residents, buses are available to shuttle participants from Tidelands Park on Glorietta Blvd. to the start line downtown from 6:30-7:15 am. Parking is limited in Coronado so please arrive early to ensure this service.
Take the MTS Trolley to the Start Line and avoid the crowds and parking downtown. Purchase an MTS Trolley/Bus Race Day Pass/Race Bib for $5.50 from us. Your Day Pass will be good all-day on May 21, 2017! Plus, enjoy the MTS Family Deal where two children, 12 and under, ride FREE with each paying passenger 18 years and over.
To get your combo Day Pass/Race Bib in advance from us, you must select it when you register. This pass gives each participant unlimited access to all MTS trolley and bus routes in the Metropolitan area for the day. (Day Pass does not include MTS Access or COASTER.) Park at Qualcomm Stadium for FREE and catch the Green Line between 5:53 am and 6:53 am to the Gaslamp Station (just a short walk across Harbor Drive to the start line by the Hilton.) Free parking is also available at more than 25 Park & Ride Trolley stations throughout the system. Blue or Orange Line riders should plan to be at the 12th & Imperial Transit Center by 7:30 am and then take the short walk to the south side of PETCO Park and use the Pedestrian Bridge to cross over Harbor Drive to the Hilton.
As a convenience to race participants, the all day combo 1-Day Pass/Race Bib is only available at the time of registration through the Bridge Run website. To ride the Trolley or Bus on Race Day without the special Bib, purchase a 1-Day Pass for $7 (includes a reloadable Compass Card) at any Trolley Ticket Machine (cash, credit or debit); on MTS Bus you can purchase the $7 paper Day Pass at the farebox (exact change only). Every rider must have proof of fare.
