Would you and your family be prepared if a large earthquake were to hit San Diego? Are You Ready to Rumble’s objective is to provide emergency preparedness information to Sailors and their families. Naval and community agencies will be in attendance to provide educational material on how to prepare, what to expect, and how agencies respond to an earthquake in our community. Attendees will be provided a family emergency plan template, a demonstration of what goes into an emergency kit as well as an opportunity to purchase their own emergency kits. Event attendees will also have the opportunity to update their information in NFAAS and register for Reverse 911. In addition, an earthquake simulator will be available for participants who wish to experience the effects of an 8.0 earthquake.
Open to all DoD personnel and their families.
This event is in conjunction with exercise Citadel Rumble 2012, the annual CNIC all hazards exercise for the Region.
Community organizations scheduled to attend include Southwest Search Dogs, The County Office of Emergency Services, SDG&E, The American Red Cross, Fed Fire, Ready America, and Fleet and Family Support Center.
