Fiddler's Cove Marina & RV Park
Head out to sea from Fiddler’s Cove Marina & RV Park, located along the scenic Silver Strand Highway just south of NAB. The marina is off-base and is open to active duty, retirees, DoD civilians and guests when accompanied by an eligible sponsor. Fiddler’s Cove offers kayak, canoe, and sailboat rentals, as well as 15´ Boston Whaler motorboats that hold up to four adults. Also available are slip rentals, showers, restrooms, a laundry facility and chandlery store. We also rent lock and leave storage lockers.Other features include bike paths, dump station, dog run, and wireless internet.Fiddler's Cove RV Park is currently closed for renovation. Marina and boat rental operations will remain open.

Experience Extreme Sailing
Performance Sailing Class (Coming this Summer)
Experience extreme sailing! Attend the Fiddler’s Cove Marina Adult Performance Sailing Course and learn how to sail the Laser; a high-performance, one-person Olympic-class dinghy that will challenge even the most seasoned of sailors. Also, experience the Weta; a fast, stable, 2-3 person trimaran that is a blast to sail! Beginning sailing qualification required to sign up for this course. Three Sailing Camp Levels: Beginner through Advanced as well as an Aquatic Camp for the younger set. Open to military dependents and sponsored guests.

Sailing Lessons
Two-day adult sailing classes are offered most weekends from 9 am to 4:30 pm at both Sailing Centers. Classes are open to all eligible MWR patrons and sponsored guests.Class fees per person are E1-E6 $150; E7 and above and Retirees $200; DoD civilians $225; and sponsored guests $250. Dependent fees are calculated at the sponsoring active duty or retiree rate. Pre-registration is recommended as classes can fill up quickly.
Registration includes boat rental, instruction and textbooks. Students per boat will be kept to the minimum amount possible in order to maximize learning potential, and will range from one to four. Number of students per boat is dependent on the boat size, sailing conditions and the skills being developed in the class. On completion of the course, participants receive a Navy Qualification Card.

Wednesday Night Regattas
Starting in May and running every Wednesday night throughout the summer, Fiddler’s Cove Marina, in conjunction with Navy Yacht Club (NYCSD) San Diego, invites novices through experts to participate in our Wednesday Night Regattas. Meet at the marina around 5 pm and join in this fun and light-hearted racing series.

U.S. Navy Sailing Center Point Loma
Conveniently located near the airport in Point Loma at Naval Mine and Anti-Submarine Warfare Command, offers both sailing classes and rentals for Beginning, Intermediate and Advanced sailors. Its centralized location gives renters quick access to the perfect sailing conditions of San Diego Bay. Sail from the Center to view the San Diego skyline or to the more secluded areas to the lee of Pt Loma to observe sea lions, dolphins and sea birds, as well as the pride of the Naval Fleet. The Navy Sailing Center is also home to the Point Loma Outdoor Gear Rental offering surfboards, camping gear and bikes, all available at a great rental price.
