BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES : The purpose of the Youth Programs Director position is to administer a developmentally appropriate youth program for children of eligible patrons. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES : Major duties and responsibilities of the Installation Child Youth Program (CYP) Director position include program operations/management, budgeting and financial management, personnel management, policies and procedures, and compliance, among other tasks. Responsible for the administration, operation and technical direction of the CYP, which may include Child Development Center (CDC), Child Development Home's (CDH), School Age Care (SAC) programs, Youth Programs (YP), and Resource & Referral (RR) program to facilitate identification of child care services and options for authorized patrons. Executes a child placement system for the installation, including a central enrollment registry and a single Central Waiting List (CWL) for ages 0-12 for the entire CYP program. Coordinates with all installation Directors to ensure an installation Parent Participation Plan, including a Parent Information Board (PIB) that includes parents and representatives from CDC, CDH, SAC, and Youth is implemented. Responsible for ensuring a CYP Special Needs Review Board (SNRD) meets as required. Ensures the coordination of CYP-wide events and activities. Completes all DoN training requirements. Serves as a mandatory reporter to Family Advocacy and Child Protective Services as prescribed by local policy in the case of suspected incidences of child abuse and neglect. Performs other regional duties as assigned.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES : The incumbent will provide appropriate developmental care and instruction for children and youth ranging in age from 6 weeks to 18 years in one or more Child and Youth programs. Incumbent will assist in implementing and leading planned activities for program participants. Incorporates special instructions provided by parents such as special dietary needs, physical needs, or other information that may affect child or youth's experience in the program. Cares for special needs children and youth as directed by the supervisor. Helps prepare, arrange, and maintain indoor and outdoor activity areas and materials to accommodate daily schedules. Assists with developing a list of needed supplies and equipment for submission to the supervisor. Interacts with children and youth using approved child guidance and youth development techniques as provided by supervisors.
