Is there a cost to attend?
No. the event is free to attend and parking is free
Who is allowed to come to the event?
Everyone. The event is open to the public. All guests 10 years and up are required to have a photo ID with them.
Where is the event location?
The event is located at Surfers Beach, NBVC Point Mugu.
What if it rains?
This event is rain or shine.
Will food and beverages be available?

Can I bring a camera with a large telephoto lens?
YES, cameras with telephoto lenses are allowed for the strict purpose of photographing surfers. Photographers may only photograph surfers in the water. Individuals pointing their cameras in other directions may be asked to leave and/or subject to review of your images.

Where can I park?
Parking will be located near the event site look for signage and follow the direction of Military Police and parking attendants. Carpooling is highly encouraged.

What items are prohibited?
Drugs including marijuana, weapons including knives, pets, coolers of any size, & drones. Other restrictions may apply.
All guests and their vehicles are subject to search upon entering NBVC and again at the event entrance. Be advised Military Working Dogs will be present.
Do I need to have my ID with me?
YES, guests 10 years and up should be prepared to show a valid ID if asked to do so by Military Police.
How can I watch the surf contest?
Viewing locations include the beach (during low tide) and the breakwater rocks. A folded up beach towel makes a great cushion for siting on the rocks. This event is not streamed over the internet.
